Allon Beauvoisin | Back
Baritone Saxophone

After graduating from Glasgow University in 1996 with a degree in composition, Allon Beauvoisin devoted himself full time to music, and rapidly built up a reputation as one of the finest (if not the finest) baritone sax players in Scotland.

Between 1997 and 2005 he worked primarily with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, but his decision in 2004 to form the saxophone quartet Brass Jaw took his career in a new direction and brought him to the attention of a wider audience. As well as continuing to lead Brass Jaw, he tours with the Ryan Quigley Big Band, and is increasingly in demand as a session musician for non-jazz projects, including working on the soundtrack for David Byrne's film 'Young Adam'.
